The Torlain are often seen as the youngest of the space-faring species in the galaxy. With a strong spiritual belief in the nature of the universe and The Path which they feel destined to follow.

While they appear tribal in nature their culture and technology are advanced, and their belief is to explore and learn.

The Torlain did not stand idly by and were the catalysts for peace in the Nomad Wars, bringing the two sides to the table.

Not long out of the bitter conflict with the Balorans in the Nomad Wars, the insectoid Krivak recently agreed to re-establish their civilian government in order to reach a peaceful settlement.

This industrious and busy species enjoy negotiation and the fine art of the deal, and their new direction has taken them away from major conflicts. Although individuals will still defend their territory if needs be.

Born on a fully aquatic planet a long way from the centre of the new galaxy, the Sodaylo have adapted and evolved from their early form in order to integrate better with space.

Led by a religious hierarchy and previously in charge of their own part of the galaxy, the Sodaylo struggle to understand why everyone simply doesn’t just put them in charge.

Recently evolved from the former species, the Antragean, the Santragean have abandoned the thirty-year hibernation cycle that the others of their species still maintain.

These changes causing political and social disruption throughout their society, as claims to land and business have caused the two sides into some brutal conflicts.

The galaxy waits to see if these things can be resolved, or whether the next war will be a civil one.

The other side involved in the Nomad Wars, the Balorans are like packrats and spend a significant time salvaging and adapting technology to suit their own purposes.

Whilst even the Balorans have little clue where they originated from, they can be found all over the galaxy and often claim ownership of things which are not entirely settled with the other species. Balorans live in a dog-eat-dog type society and are one of the species who has no qualms about internal conflicts to resolve their differences.

The huge framed and heavily muscled Carbaryl have their individual agenda above any other. To find proof of the ones they call The Thirteen. The ones they see as their god.

This singular ability to avoid involvement in any other races politics, unless mention of The Thirteen come to light, has made the other races wary of both their might and power. The Carbaryl themselves feel this is because they are brilliant negotiators, but this is far from the truth.

When the Aguan first rose in anger, they battled the Sodaylo for control of parts of their territory, only later discovering they had been misled by others. Luckily the Sodaylo accepted the apology and reparations of the Aguan, and shared further technology with them to allow them to reach further out into space.

Loners at heart, the Aguan have a deep interest in discovery and what can be revealed through the secrets of the galaxy.

The Narank were discovered, dormant on an ancient space structure. Waking from their long slumber to instantly wonder what their purpose was? A nanite species, the Narank were created so long ago, that whilst their form makes them the best technology experts in the field, they seek a way to evolve further.

However, one thing they have found is they can blend into their environment and act for various governments as spies. As each colony of Narank often do not get on with another.
